Non-Medical Prescriber (NMP) 

Belmont Recruitment are looking for a  Non-Medical Prescriber to join a substance misuse team in South Yorkshire. In this role, you will support service users with substance misuse needs by conducting assessments, developing personalised prescribing plans, and managing Opiate Substitute Therapy.

Additional responsibilities include supervised consumption, community alcohol detoxifications, phlebotomy, and dry blood spot testing. You will also play a key part in case reviews, ensuring safe and cost-effective prescribing practices in line with clinical guidelines.

Pay: £40.00 - £50.00 per hour (dependant on experience)

Schedule: Monday to Friday - Full Time

Contact Length: 6 - 12 months

Responsibilities:

  • Manage a caseload of service users, including assessment, care planning, risk management, and substitute prescribing (Opiate Substitute Therapy).
  • Develop and implement safe, person-centered prescribing plans based on individual needs.
  • Perform psychosocial interventions (1:1 and group sessions) and oversee safe community alcohol detoxifications.
  • Conduct supervised consumption, titration, phlebotomy, and dry blood spot testing.
  • Lead and contribute to multi-disciplinary meetings, case reviews, and clinical audits.

Requirements:

  • Registered Nurse/Pharmacist with a Non-Medical Prescriber (NMP) qualification.
  • Knowledge of substance misuse treatment and mental health.
  • Experience in substance misuse prescribing is desirable.
